I purchased the Citizen Men 's Eco-Drive Skyhawk Chronograph Watch # JR3000-51F because I ' ve owned it 's predecessor: the Navihawk Chronograph. My Navihawk died after about a dozen years of satisfactory service. As I discovered the hard way, breaking the seal of the box Navihawk to replace the battery (which was necessary three times over it 's lifetime) created a pathway for humidity and skin oils to penetrate and corrode the interior. (This Despite the fact that I never swam nor showered while wearing the Navihawk.) The cost to repair my Navihawk was almost as much as the purchase price of a new Skyhawk. R rI compared the JR3000-51F with the titanium version. .. Citizen Men 's Eco-Drive Titanium Skyhawk Chronograph Watch # JR3060-59F ... as well as the model that synchronizes with an atomic clock signal ... Citizen Men ' s Eco-Drive Skyhawk AT Watch # JY0000-53E. Accustomed to having been the weight of a stainless case and bracelet, I didn 't think that the titanium version offered me much added value for the price differential, Particularly since some other reviewers Had Noted that the titanium model was susceptible to scratches. I came to a similar conclusion regarding the "AT " model. My experience with the very accurate time-keeping qualities of the Navihawk led me to believe that the JR3000-51F would satisfactorily meet my needs. The "Eco-Drive " feature clinched my decision to purchase the Skyhawk As opposed to competitors. R rupon receipt of my Skyhawk (which arrived earlier than the projected delivery date), it worked right out of the box. The time was off by a couple of minutes, but the interactive instructions (on the CD in the box) made it a snap to correct the time. My prior experience with the somewhat idiosyncratic process of adjusting the Navihawk probably helped me get off to smooth start with the Skyhawk. Count me as a happy camper.

OK. For those who bought this watch because it looks neat, but do not know what it means to have an aviator watch, here is an example of how to use slide rules. R r1. Lets say you are in a restaurant, and you bill out to $ 55. You wander what the 15% tip. Take out of tune call and number 15 on the outer dial to 10 on the inner dial. What will be the tip percentage. If you want to give 20% 20 align to the inner 10. Now, find the 55 on the inner dial. You have to see about 82 to dial the appropriate outside. Divide 82 by 10. You get $ 8.20 which is the end of you. Now, when you take a date, you can look like you are actually using the panel. R r2. Tax can be calculated in the same way. Just align the tax percentage on the outside dial to 10 on the inner dial. R r3. You are on a road trip with a rug rat. You have to go 200 miles and you travel at 70mph. Monster back seat asked "are we there. " You move beyond the dial to 70 arrows, where the inner dial is 60. Look for 20 in the outer dial. Inner accordance dial is the number of minutes to your destination. In this case 170. You are not done. Check the inside of watch. on the outer edge of the face, you will see the sign clock. 170 must be in accordance with the 2:50 hour. Now tell the monster that would be another 2hours and 50 minutes, so go to bed. R rI hope this will be useful to someone. While the negative reviews I see, r r1. If you don 't realize that almost all watches that are considered a higher class than the Casio Sports watches don ' t have the light, you don 't deserve this. Are you going to give negative reviews for the Rolex because it does not have a light? R r2. This is a pilot's watch guys! If you make them smaller, you will not be able to read or use a slide rule. If you can 't realize that, bought the watch. R r3. There are about a page that explains how to use slide rules. But, since this is the aviator watch, they may expect you to know how to use the E6B. If not, I hope my review helped.

It is a good watch with nice features. I like it because I can adjust the time zone very quickly and still know the time zone of origin. I worried it might be too big for my wrist, but it fits well. R GH purchased from Amazon and got it from a company in South Texas. However, there were some problems. I think there must be sitting on the shelf for a while before sale. The button would stay for a while, it doesn 't more. Moreover, the "at the command " (for alarms) is more like "Ox ". This could be a reconstruction or a second factory. I still love it.

I have the titanium version. Got these as a gift from my wife on my birthday and I love. Many functions and its attractive design.

I happened to be a worker is lucky that I have this watch for 5yrs service. Be a watch-geek, I was very happy to receive a $ 400 FREE. I received in the mail today and read the book. The CD is more useful because it allows you to play with the settings for playback and audio / video. It took me only about 20 minutes of setup for use. R rPros: clock Solid, band steel, world time zones, countdown, 3 alarms, stopwatch, military time, date has not ever, needs a battery. R rCons: The bezel has the numbers for the calculations, but it 's almost impossible to see / read, and there ' s no back light. Maybe I 'm spoiled with my casio .. lol.

It shows a clear pleasant, but I have a little hand, I want to have a smaller size with the same characteristics

I highly recommend the watch and the company we bought them. It was a big operation and there were no surprises when my order arrived and it arrived on time! The watch is heavy, but my husband loves it. She was very excited by this watch for Christmas and when I discovered how much I paid for it which made it even happier! Great buy!

I had a friend lend me an earlier version of this watch when I went on a long trip to the Middle East. I loved so much, I bought this version, when I could get my (which is even more beautiful). It 'was stolen ... So I bought it again as soon as I could afford. This seller shipped quickly and had a great price. N. Batteries confusion with the time in the world, 24 hours, comfortable ... and great looking to boot ... watch and I recommend this seller!

I received this watch with a small dial flaw. The has it.Just a small nick in flaw.I Don 't come back hope.

Pros: r-It is a Citizen? R-5 years warranty r very nice-looking r-Eco-drive system: never needs batteries r comprehensive world time (DST each zone, etc.). R rCONS: r-light without (but that is for Eco-drive) r-no hourly alarm r-for me, this is difficult to pull out the crown without leaving the bracelet r-extremely easy to scratch (and they say the titanium version is more soft!) r rFor an average male wrist, it is not too big nor too heavy.

The Skyhawk Flight chronograph Citizen Eco-drive is one of my favorite three watches, alongside Casio pathfinder Multi-measure Titanium and Seiko Black Monster. Why? The common denominators of the three models, amindst my collection of other Japanese and Swiss makers, is evidence and reliability. In the case of the Skyhawk, may I add - gadget appeal.

I have the titanium version of this watch. This is a great looking watch, world time zone feature is invaluable. I wore this watch daily for 5 years. I recommend this watch to anyone. I must admit that there are some flaws. First of all, pins in the bracelet seems to melt over time. Crystal is not flat and gets scratched very easy. I wish there was a back-light LCD but it would do but look at the economic aspect. Bracelet finally broke the concert Slayer, I think the clock has snatched away in Moshpit. I was lucky to find the bracelet and watch 15 minutes later. Although broken wrist, the watch just suffered a few scratches, after at least 300 people were stomping apesh # $ and go over them. I think I 'll order a new wrist watch or replace it with something expensive.

This is the best watch I own. Time. And check it against the atomic clock on the internet and is the most accurate watches in my collection. Not the cheapest watch I own, but the best certasinly.

Before I reveal the critical defect, I said I liked the way watching performances. R rThat said, wristwatches have no backlight! I could not see at night time analogy and digital display completely unreadable even in dim light (have you ever seen on the LCD display on the watch didn 't have a backlight?). Had no history is inexcusable defect at this price watch. And watch phosporescent fade in about an hour, so that doesn 't help much. Of course, you can just bring a flashlight with you. R rBecause this defect, I rarely wear a watch. I wore a cheaper Casio with a backlight that I do not like anywhere near as much. R rif consider this watch to others, but make sure you also consider how important it is for you to be able to read time in the dark and to be able to read digital LCD display when you don 't have the best light. If necessary, find a different watch.

I did a lot of research online before deciding on this watch and I am very happy. Great looking watch with all the features I could ever want or need. I 'ma private pilot so it is good to have the E-6B calculator on the bezel, but because of it ' s size would be of little use in a cockpit. However, could be useful for planning pre-flight in a pinch. I chose the stainless steel compared to titanium model because of criticism that it was easily scratched / stained. Stainless is heavier (abou 4 oz), but n 've noticed the weight since I am the first pass. ROverall, love the show and he recommends.

A beautifully crafted look, easy to use and understand. Practicity combined with a very stylish design.

For years I 've worn a watch with digital display cheap because I don ' t find anything more fun to care that incorporates the same functions as my digital. Watches offer analog timepiece more attractive, but you usually have to sacrifice convenience features, I had become accustomed. For me, the Eco-Drive Skyhawk combines the best of both analog and digital worlds. R rthe Skyhawk has two small LCD 's that give all the same functions as my camera and even add a few others. You can access these functions by turning the winding crown (which actually don 't even use this function on the Skyhawk from the watch is powered by a solar cell beneath the facade). Take the tiny crown mode turns on the hand down the most connections and pointed at the abbreviated name of the function that you 've chosen. R rthe functions displayed on the LCD 's are as follows: Time (hours, minutes and seconds on the right screen with the time zone on the left) Calendar (day, month and day of the week the right time zone on the left), alarm (there are three separate alarms, hour, minute and "on " and "off " the right time zone on the left) Chronograph (up 99 "99 " on the right, left, shows the time-sharing, etc..) Timer (countdown 99 '99 '), and Set, which is to establish the date, time, etc.. for show. You can set custom names for timezones, if you choose. For example, instead of LAX for Pacific Time, I SEA (for Seattle) programmed for my time zone. Because analog hands show my local time I leave the LCD in Calendar mode, but you may also have a different time zone 's time or date set for display. r r The two smaller dials show A clock 24 hours UTC (Universal Time Constant himself as London time) on the top straight line (with minute hands and hour) and a clock 24 hours (with just an hour hand) to your local timezone in the upper left quadrant. My watch came with the correct date and time already programmed in. I just had to put the watch in my time zone. R any party is a slide-rule bezel that rotates around the facade and can apparently be used to calculate fuel consumption and oil for aircraft. I don 't see anything in the instructions explaining how to use it, but I ' m not a pilot or a mechanic and Don 't have a use for it anyway. R rthe Skyhawk comes with a CD-ROM that you narrator guides you through the steps of setting up your watch and using the various functions. These same tutorials can be accessed from Citizen 's website here: http://www.citizenwatch.com/us/frame_noflash.html. There is also a printed manual that covers the same information. R rCitizen claims of this watch will never need a new battery in your life. The Skyhawk recharge the internal battery via a solar panel on the faceplate. When you look closely you can see that the facade is made of black, but the semi-transparent material like glass sunglasses. With normal wear, it should be held responsible for ambient light Whether indoors or dehors.Même if the denial of a light source, Citizen watch boasts a fully charged can range from four months before running out of power. The left LCD displays up to three horizontal bars to indicate how the watch is loaded. R ri found that two negatives with this watch. There is a function that is not my $ 10 digital watch does, and that 'Light SA for playing time in the dark. Lights take a lot of battery power, so I can understand why people chose not to include one on a watch solar powered, but I do miss it sometimes at night. The numbers on the front and the analog hands does have a glow-in-the-dark material on them, but there 'is not as easy to read time in the dark as it is with my digital features a blue backlight. R rthe other negative (for some) in May will be the size. This is a fairly good sized wristwatch. It 'sa little wider than most men ' s watch, and probably a little thicker, too. That said, I think the size of the facade and the overall design of the watch is such that it doesn 'look too great on my just-under-average wrists. But it 'call his own, and I can see how some might find it too big and bulky for their tastes. You may want to visit a local dealer Watch take a look before ordering. R ryou should know that there are three different versions of this watch, with different price tags (all metal, mixed metal / rubber strap and a blue-Angels Memorial version). Each version is available in stainless steel or titanium. Mine version is all metal stainless steel. I weighed the pros and cons of titanium and vote against him. Compared to stainless steel, titanium is more corrosion resistant, has a higher tensile strength and is lighter. But I don 't imagine a scenario in which i ' m going to need these benefits. The watch 's weight is not a problem for me.Once it 's on my wrist, I hardly even notice it ' s there. The disadvantages of titanium are costs considerably more and has a slightly darker and less shiny than stainless steel. Titanium is also a softer metal, so it should be less resistant to abrasion. R Rall in all, I 'm very happy with this watch. It couples an elegant, understated beauty with all the features I want in a timepiece. R Ryou 'll have to size the watch ' s bracelet when you receive it (unless you have very large wrists). You can do this yourself if you have the proper tool. There are tiny pin holding the various links. You need a tool just as little for them to move from side to side. Note the arrows inside the bracelet, which show the direction you should push the pins. If you don 't size it yourself, make sure the arrows point to the person that size for you. I took my watch to a jewelry counter at a clothing store for applying for assistance. Unfortunately, the woman who helped wanted to force the hands and ended up seizing up in several links of metal before knowing what it was (and yes, brushed stainless steel stripe). If you can not find the 'tool to do so, I recommend you design your own to avoid the aggravation I experienced ... ..

This watch is a superbly designed. The advanced features (eg, stopwatch, world time zone settings, alarms) are easy to use and understand. Due to the Eco-Drive, the battery lasts virtually forever and keeps accurate time. It really is waterproof. If you are a pilot panel slide works very well for the calculation of fuel consumption, speed, etc.. The safety clasp CLASP security and is easy to use. If weight is a problem, the Titanium is much lighter than stainless steel that it shows the wear (eg superficial scratches) more visible.
